The sash window is dismantled and the pulleys checked, cleaned and lubricated. All the sash cords are replaced and the sashes weighed and the correct counter-balances are set.
Any paint on areas that obstruct the movement of the window is removed and the parting beads and staff beads are renewed with a draught inlaid carrier bead; the sashes are then re-fitted in correct alignment with the beading.
All the exposed timber is painted with a white primer, making good to finish. The sashes and pulleys are waxed and checked for operation.
