Sash Cord Replacement

The sash cord is a vital part of a sash window. Over many years of use the sash cord will wear and snap.  The cord and weights that allow the sashes to be correctly held in place care integral to the smooth operation of the sash windows. So in order for the window to function properly a new cord will need to be fitted. When the cords become frayed and incorrectly tensioned, the sashes can catch, creak or rattle. Cord replacement and rebalancing  your sashes allows you to have an easy to slide window that is safe and efficient.

We use new English wax cotton sash cord with a strong synthetic core to prevent snapping. Cheap inferior Indian core is not used.
